Tonight we thought Bellona was up to the challenge and let her go outside in our backyard without a leash. She seemed to be excited to hop around the backyard at her leisure. Actually it took a while to get Big B back inside even thought it was pouring down rain.
I had to beg her to come in and was tracking her with a flashlight since it was dark. And did I mention pouring down rain? I was afraid she’d fall and get hurt and then I’d be in big trouble. Bellona is starting to feel comfortable with her new hop. We have a fairly large backyard as far homes in the suburbs go. Bellona was hop, hop, hopping all over the yard smelling the grass, eating the grass and going potty wherever she wanted. Who would have thought that something so simple would be liberating for Bellona.
Yup it’s the simple things in life. I’m learning that myself….

sometimes it’s hard to let go, and let them find their own way. it is the ‘little things’ that can provide the most empowerment. bravo bellona!!!!
