Today is the day Bellona goes from limping on 4 to hopping on 3. Although it will take her some time before she will be steady on her feet, but I know she can do it. We’re taking Bellona to the vet in about an hour. Wish us all good luck and I will report back later today when we have news from Dr. C later today.
It was another restless sleep downstairs for my husband and I. I know it’s sad to say, but I’m excited and guilty about being able to sleep in my bed tonight and maybe tomorrow night too. Those darn 11 steps getting in the way yet again. Sleep can wait for now, we’ve got a long day ahead of us.
Welcome Bellona and pack to the family no one wants to join but is glad to have a place to call home.
First, Bellona is adorable – but I’m sure you already knew that.
I was diagnosed with cancer in April 2010. My pawrents still can’t believe I had cancer. But on the morning of amputation day, I was running around like a puppy, as if nothing was wrong. About mile from the hospital, my Daddy had to “stop short” because of some construction work ahead of us. I was just jostled a little, not falling onto the floorboard, nothing like that, and let out a little whimper.
Once inside, the surgeon looked me over and told my pawrents that my cancerous leg had broken by that little movement in the car.
I know everything will go well with your surgery today and you will be home, hopping around like you own the place. We will be thinking about you today.
Katie and I are thinking and praying for not just Bellona but your entire family. She is a strong girl and when all this passes, you will realize that it was just a roadbump in her life – she’ll be back to zipping around in no time (unfortunately??)
Bravo Bellona! We know you’re gonna do great! Keep us posted OK?
Best wishes for a flawless procedure and quick, complete recovery! We’ll be thinking of you.
I am so sorry to hear this, my heart feels so bad. I know how are animals are part of us!
I am hoping for a fast recovery. Please keep me posted.
*hugs to you
