I just talked to Dr. C and Bellona has continued to make improvement and will be coming home tonight. Bellona has been eating and has been up walking around with some help. The clinic has been weening her off the IV she and will be ok on oral meds tonight.
Wish us luck, I’m sure we’ll need it tonight! I wanted to say thank you again. We’ve received so many encouraging words and it helps to know that we’re not alone.
Yea for coming home!!
Remember that the first couple of weeks can be hard so don’t get discouraged if Bellona isn’t herself right off. And it doesn’t help that we completely wear ourselves out as care givers- so rest when you can. Hopefully she will be one of those pups that sails though recovery!!
Looking forward to a at home update- maybe with pictures!

Bellona is just beautiful. I’m so happy that the surgery went well and she will soon be home, right where she belongs.
Try not to stress too much. I bet Bellona is going to do just fine. She’s a Corso after all. Did I mention I have a soft spot for these big noble goofballs? 🙂
Wishing you all the best.

I’ll bet Bellona will be very excited to be back home with you again. Wishing you all well during these early recovery days. Bellona is such a gorgeous girl…and obviously very well-loved.

Sending lots of good thoughts your way… and looking forward to the welcome home party!
Yay Bellona!!! Chloe STILL freaks out on slick floors, she usually follows me everywhere, but if we go some place that has slick floors (like the pet store) she stops in her tracks. I guess its because she has taken them too fast and does a three way splitz…
